Carolina National Golf Club is a tremendous golf facility located in the heart of Brunswick County, North Carolina. This Fred Couples signature golf course set along the Banks of the Lockwood Folly River features 27 holes of amazing golf. The course works its way through rich low country terrain and wonderful natural scenery that place golfers in a picturesque setting. The course offers so many different playing experiences as well.
Recognized by Golf Digest as one of the finest courses on the eastern seaboard, Carolina National has become a must-play course along the Grand Strand. The three nines, Egret, Heron, and Ibis, all provide an enjoyable, yet challenging experience for golfers of all ages and ability levels. Each nine has five sets of tees, allowing golfers to pick the ones that best suit their game. The back tees challenge even the best players at just over 7,000 yards, just the way Freddie likes it.
The practice area at Carolina National is outstanding! Golfers can work on their game or just warm up for their round on the 14,000 square foot putting/chipping green and then move over to the 340-yard driving range. The range has multiple tiers to hit from as well as a matted area at the back of the tee for those not-so-dry days. We all could use a little more practice and Carolina National gives players a great place to work on all parts of the golf game.
The clubhouse is an Augusta National inspired beauty (no surprise given Couples love of Augusta and the Masters) that houses the pro shop full of great golf merchandise to fit the needs of golfers as well as a full-service dining facility that is second to none. The Plantation Grille is the perfect place to hang out after a round of golf for a meal and some drinks. Moreover, it provides a wonderful setting for any formal event such as receptions, anniversaries, birthdays and even business events. The grille can hold up to 100 people.
