Beach SCENE Golf

Some consider golf entertainment. Some consider our courses attractions. With over 80 golf courses in the area, we had to give golf its own category here at Beach SCENE. The Grand Strand is globally known as the Seaside Golf Capital of the World. From daily fee courses, to resort courses, to prestigious private courses, golfers enjoy amazing choices.

For The Traveling Golfer

The areas golf industry flourished over the past two decades by way of a network of golf travel provider services. Most hotels employ an on-site golf director. Those that do not will refer their guests to a trusted third party provider in the area. For those planning to visit for the first time, especially those with large groups, we always recommend reaching out to a golf director for logistics assistance. During peak season (Spring and Fall) staying on the south and and playing an early tee time on the north end could be a challenge. We recommend playing north coast courses one year, central coast courses, the next, and south coast courses the third year. Actually the order isn’t at all important. Staying near the course you plan to play is advised.

For The Local Golfer

Like most of you, we were once golfers traveling here to the beach for our annual golf outing. Golf is often one of the top reasons folks decide to live along The Grand Strand. Fortunately for you, all our courses value your patronage. There are often some great local rates available as well as multi-course and single courses memberships. Locals get used to the peak golf seasons, often playing later in the day to avoid the rush. There are some great local tournaments and weekly outings from which to take part. If you love golf, being a local here….well, it does have its privileges.
